The PBW game 2nd Moon of Jupiter has a new game owner: me! I'm toying around with using the new and improved Eclipse Mod by Kevin Arisa, but that, of course, is up to the players. The game will start soon, and slots are filling up, so tune up your role-playing abilities and join up!
Game setting suggestions and mod requests always welcome.

If you use Eclipse I'm in! I've been wanting to try out that mod in multiplayer! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

i would, but there are two issues... first, the players already signed up to the game i'm now running don't all have highspeed internet, thus they wouldn't be able to download the massive eclipse mod file. second, eclipse isn't on the PBW server yet, so i'd have to run the turns on my own computer. only issue with that is really that is not what this particular game is about. i will be looking into starting up an Eclipse game soon... or better yet, i'm a reaching my limit, so maybe someone else could start it. i'd love to play! hopefully geo will get the mod uploaded to PBW so we can.

How big could it be?
Does the zip include a pointless copy of the whole imagemod or something?

I'm not sure why, but its like a 47mb download or something like that...

We've decided on a mod: This will be a DevNull game, but we need a few more players to get it going! Please come check out 2nd Moon of Jupiter on PBW

Point me to it, and I'll repackage it for you.
If I can't get it down to a decent size, I'll also split it into 1.4 meg chunks for the dialup users, so they can put it on floppies from a high speed connection at work or something.

As it turns out, Eclipse is HUGE, and difficult to pare down. Once the DevNull game gets off its feet, I'll start working on an Eclipse game.

Eclipse includes the entire Sound Pack, as it modifies a few interface sounds. Every mod has to have all sound files in its sounds folder if it has any of them, otherwise SE4 can't find the missing sounds. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif
This is why Eclipse is so big.
