Very cool. I like the glows http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif It could use some guns however, gunless ships aren't very good in combat.

In order to avoid ruining the smooth sleek lines of the ship the guns are hidden in seamless ports. That way they can do a pufferfish type suprise on their enemies. Either that or they use phaser arrays or the like. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Ignore him it doesn't need to be covered with guns to be cool. Looks good http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Meh, visible gun holes are still cooler. I also think that that ship is a little glossy. Might want to tone that down a bit.

Pretty good cartoony style.

I think the engines would look better if there were just a solid or glowing red.

It looks to me more like a pleasure cruiser than a fighting vessel.

Makes me think of a Federation type Norwegian Cruise ship. I want to go to Risa.

Transport ship maybe, I wouldn't rely on that style of ship as a combat craft, too many windows and not intimidating looking enough imho. Then again I'm the guy that makes ships bristling with gun turrets and heavy armored looking hulls so I might not be the best judge on this.

Nice ship, looks sleek and fast. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Yeah - Fast Transport was the goal with this ship.... not combat vessel., I'll try add engine glow and post again

I thought the thingies at the side were the engines?

no, not actually how I planned it - generators... the marble blue and red is supposed to be energy generation but obivously since I had to explain I didnt do a good job with the design.... back to drawing board.

Looks like a yacht with warp nacelles. Small, sleek, fast. But not generally something you'd want to go to war with.

Looks like a small pleasure yacht. I'd like to own one of these babies.

It reminds me of Talon Karrde's ship.

I am working on a re-design..... though it wasnt meant to be a combat vessel.... meant to be a small fast transport, but I didn't like the way the generator glows or engine glows came out and obviously it was confusing as to what was what... I will post the updated design sometime Thursday or Friday. Thanks everyone for the feedback.

The yellow around the windows was a little strong, too, but the use of glow is a good idea.
