I went to clean out my /savegame directory, so I sorted by type, hit Ctrl-A to select all, deselected just the .GAM files...

...and realized that I had selected for deletion 5,500 files, totalling roughly 100 megs!

Not that this is a major problem, but...wow! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/eek.gif

Well, who needs to shower when there's time for one more move... /threads/images/Graemlins/Waterdrop.gif

Or maybe change your AutoSave options? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/smirk.gif

Or the perfect solution... Buy a larger harddisk and autosave every turn.

I routinely delete game files that are older than a month, which is similar to my office. If I haven't read a magazine/periodical or other "news", it will be *really* out of date by the time I get around reading it.

Are those files actually related to the autosave?

Nah, you need to save all your turn files, so your grand children can load them and re-live your SE4 games...
