Tired of empires with hundreds of planets, thousands of ships, tens of thousands of units? The micromanagement just plain getting old? Then this may be just what you're looking for.

This is a full fledged game but on a smaller scale. All empires will be oxygen/rock and you won't be able to colonize anything else! Competition for those few available planets will be fierce, but instead of fleets of 300 dreads, you will see something more like 20 LCs per fleet.

Research development will be slow but playing your turns will be quick... and hopefully turn turnover, too.

All techs except intel will be available, so you may eventually be able to create your own planets. Till then you must struggle along with very little of anything, just like all your opponents. Low level tactics will be the name of the game.

Starting resources: 100000
Starting planets: 1
Home planet value: Good
Score display: Own
Racial points: 5000
Quadrant type: FQM Sparse Mid-Life No Ast Belt
(You don't need the FQM mod in your files.)
Quadrant size: Small
Event frequency: High
Event severity: High
Technology level: Medium
Technology cost: High
Victory conditions: Last man standing-- no allied victory!
Maximum units: 20000
Maximum ships: 20000
Computer players: None
Computer difficulty: High
Computer player bonus: High
Neutral empires: No
Other game settings:
No intel
No tech trading or gifting
No ship trading or gifting
No planet trading or gifting
No pre-arranged alliances
SURRENDER: You must surrender to one of your enemies, not to an ally!
Colonize only own type and atmosphere. Oxygen/rock!
All players must email me with confirmation that their empire is oxy/rock.
Game is rateable.

And some further reasons to play:

If you are a beta tester (or expect to be one) this would be a good game for you. Not too time consuming and a little stress relief from the tests. On a similar note, SEV is coming and you don't want to be stuck in some monster SEIV game when it does.

Only one slot left!

This is an excellent game for a newcomer. The small scale and lower tech levels simplify the strategies giving everyone a chance!

Grab this spot before it's gone!

Looks interesting enough.

Due to a meltdown, we had to restart the game from scratch. This has freed up at least one slot in the game.

Grab it while you can!
