Game Report

Shrapnel Games, a small nitch market PC and board game publisher, with such break out hits as Dominions II, Starfury, and many other games of recent, has recently been aquired by the software powerhouse Uber Software of Germany.

Hans Hasselhoff, Chairman of Uber Software, stated that the purchase would spell the end of these silly American based anti-germany war games and usher in the day of real war games based on historical fact that Germany won the war.

Mr. Hasselhoff has terminated the lead and long time staff at Shrapnel Games and replaced them with a young Uber Software up start executive, Amoff Dittler.

Mr. Dittlers first official act as Executive Publisher at Shrapnel game will be to shut down the now defunct Space Empires IV and Dominions II forums and require all members of the Shrapnel Games forum to pay a subscription fee of $5.00 US to Uber Software in order retain their posting privlages.

"This move will insure that the lower class never infiltrate our forums." - Mr. Dittler

"These changes mark the end of a great source for war gaming nitch market and wholesome PC gaming fun." - Tim

As this move comes as a shock to many fan of Shrapnel Games, others are happy to see the changes being made by Uber Software.

"Well its about time they get rid of those needless, endless, and pointless list threads." - Fyron

"I hate to see the staff go, but lets face it, they dropped the ball when they made me a moderator." - Suicide Junkie

"All good things come to an end. But hey, at least I can aford the new membership dues." - Atrocities

"Power to the people." - Mephisto

Uber Software will continue to sell the games offered by Shrapnel until current stock run out. Many new games are now scheduled to be released throughout this year with such titles as: Failed Landing, a game about how the Allies failed in their D-Day attempt to land on the shores of France. Victory at the Bulge, a game celibrating the German victory over the allies during the battle of the bulge. And The Eastern Front Victory, a game about how the German military turned the tide of the Russian invasion and won the War against the soviets.

These games and many more will soon be available for purchase through Shrapnel Games, an Uber Software distributer.

No offense was intended, if any one took offense, suck it up.

Uber software have also announced two new line of games: German Takeaway Resauraunt King which they promise will be both realistic and entirely unwinnable.

"Let's face it you can't have a takeaway that only serves sausages and sauerkraut." the lead programmer commented

The other new title "Lord of the Rings" cast you as head of VW-Audi. Your mission: Buy every single car brand you can and force all of them to develop a car based on the Golf platform.

First surprise deliveries of "Germany won the War" games to the US were a blitzkrieg like success. The rapid advance from Canadian games from the north completed the successful sales strategy... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/evil.gif
