I was just surfing around and I found this

Its a hex board game made in 1981 called Space Empires.

Hey, I think I actually played that game. I used to play alot of those 'mail-order' wargames. You know the ones with the little square cardboard play pieces and the ranged form land war, navel war, to space wars. It was fun to use the gameboards and create our own games using pieces from different games (or homemade pieces). Aaaah, the good old days (TM)
