My brother needs help with homework. He's supposed to plan a trip to Berlin, Germany, including historical sites from 1600AD back.
(Personally, I would be happy with some names we can look up - Don't want to take all the fun out of homework. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif )

That would be "Heiliges Römisches Reich". The HRR just isn't about Berlin at all, its medieval Germany.
How about www.berlin.de (http://www.berlin.de)? I doubt there are many historical sites from 1600AD because of WW2 bombing. Prussias time was later, about 1700AD.

Sorry, I don't read (Or speak) German.
Thanks for the wiki link. For some reason I didn't think of that. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Ermm..... the Holy Roman Empire link was a joke. Last updated right after the death of Frederick Barbarossa? Somewhere in the 12th or 13th century IIRC?

Well, it doesn't help that, although the name Frederick Barbarossa rang a bell, I could not only not determine which particular bell it was - And also wether it might not be two bells.

Frederick Barbarossa was Holy Roman Emperor, the founder of the Holy Roman Empire. He died while participating in the Third Crusade - the poor old man tried to take a bath in a river in full plate armor.
Operation Barbarossa was the codename for Hitler's invasion plans of the Soviet Union.
