So with the Enterprise series drawing to a close, I begin to wonder about the future. What will the next Star Trek series be like?

Star Trek: The Temporal Accords
It would feature time travelling to "protect the timeline". ST:Timecop. Westerns, cave people, 1995 era low budget 'visit the present' episodes, and other reused second-hand props from Hollywood's back lot.

Alright, now I'm scared. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/redface.gif

I'd like to see one based entirely in the Terran Empire, let's see how it got started and the adventures of an "evil" crew for a change instead of always love peace and happy happy joy!

Heck yeah, that would be great! No more of that double standard of the Prime Directive, while the crew changes yet another culture "for their own good". While pretending to have a diverse crew. Hey look, we have a token alien on the bridge. Well just half, really, not actually alien. Alien is bad. Different is bad...But diversity is good. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

Screw that, just go in and assimilate them! "Join us or die." That would be refreshing politics http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

If you want to see an evil crew then it's got to be the mirror universe evil Kirk. Now that would be a truly evil empire, and probablyu great fun too http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Yes.....but....if kirk....was.....the......main.....chracter....then .....we....would......have.......to.....have....at ....least.....three....parts....for....every....st ory.....because....of....Kirk's.....abismal.....pa using.....after every.....word.

Nah I'd like to see an EVIL PICARD! now that would be class!

Krik ismuch more about... random speedchangesin his... impassioned yet stilted..... speeches.

Evil Picard, hmmm. That could be cool.

"We're being hailed."
"F*ck that! Mr. Worf open fire full torpedo spread!"

Hell if it were true mirror universe you'd have competent Riker. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/eek.gif

More you'd have chaste, polite, humble, competant Riker WITHOUT A BEARD!

Hmm now Picard on the other hand would be ruthless brutal and cruel and yet i think Patrick Stuart could pull it off so well lol.

Well he'd start bearded then lose it. Troi telling everyone "Get over it and stop whining"....

This is scary: Worf as a pacifist?!?!? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/eek.gif

Not even close. This is however

My rule is simple: If you go to the pub, have a good time and at no point mention sci-fi or tech type stuff then your not a geek.

What the hell is an NDF or a TDIC or an OMG I watch the show and i have No freakin clue! WTF he's talking about lol.

And I could sum up all that he said in one sentence:
Phaser= Massive ammount energy hitting rock not shield, or alloy, thus rock goes BOOOM and phaser wins.

I think those people are overanalyzing Star Trek...

I think they over-analyse everything sci-fi. It's morbid curiosity that keeps drawing me back there, I keep expecting it to be some form of joke. It scares me the effort and amazing feats of recall these guys can do. Yeah I like sci-fi on telly but there are limits, and I think those guys are so far past it they don't even know there is a limit.

Still it can be funny in a twisted 'How geeky are you?' kinda way. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Man the only reason I ever went in Depth in the sci-fi is when I was doing research for the books I plan on writing hehe.....but those guys just do it for fun, it reminds me of something i read once

A Trekkie and a Star Wars nut are arguing one day and the trekkie goes
"Yeah well at least Trekkies have a cool name what do you star wars fans have?"

"We have the FORCE you turdbrain!"

Trekkie: "Can the force stop a phaser!"

SWN (Star wars nut:"Of course it can!"

star wars nut:"Can your precious starfleet take on the Empire!"

Trekkie "Of course they can any day of the week you moron!"

A beautiful woman walks by

SWN: Hey babe wanna see my lightsaber

Babe: Ewwwwww

Trekkie: Captain I see think I should try and make....first contact!

Babe: Contact this *knee to groin*

beautiful woman leaves

The Trekkie and SWN look at one another

SWN: "Man I shoulda used a jedi mindtrick"

Trekkie: "Man i shoulda worn a cup"

Another beautiful woman walks up

Babe2 (seductive voice):Hi I'm a battlstar galactica fan!

What's the point of this conversation?
1. The force WON'T get you laid
2. Star Trek babes lay everything in site.....most earth women don't
3. No matter how hot the woman, she won't get none if she's a BSG lover
4. The trekkie/wars/bsg fussin and fuedin should all come to an end because they all share one thing in common......VIRGINS FOR LIFE!

El_Phil

1. Yes
2. Yes
3. Clearly rubbish. Try saying that with a straight face, bet you can't
4. Look if they were interested in birds in the first place they wouldn't have spent hundreds, no thousands, or hours carefully watchin every episode in slow-mo. The poor buggers don't even know what they're missing...

By the way you should check the signature. I think you mean paved not baved, although I could be wrong.... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

What I like about that idea is that the whole show could be about fixing their screwups. Going back and fixing all of the things that Archer ran into which were supposed to be big surprises when the Federation ran into them for the "first time" in other Star Trek series.
