Greetings,

Another silly question...:)

I have ships equipped with Emergency Propulsion Pod and Repair component level 2. I noticed the Emergency Propulsion Pod does not repair like the other components. However, I am pretty sure in a previous game, it was repairing but I don't recall if the ship was equipped with a higher level or a Space yard. Anyone has any clue about how the repair works?

Thank you

The EPP and ESP can only be fixed at a spaceyard. This is to stop ships with repair bays having huge speed and infinite range.

At least thats what I remember http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Greetings,

I found that in this msg board FAQ:

5.2.8 Stellar Manipulation Ships
5.2.8.1 Battleship Planetmaker: I like to design my planetmaker on a BB hull because I like to use a spaceyard instead of a repair bay to repair the Matter Gravity Sphere (used to create the planets from asteroids). The reason I use a spaceyard is that I also include an Emergency Propulsion component to zip around. These stellar manipulation ships cost lots of maintenance so I want to minimize time in transit. --->>> Emergency Propulsion components cannot be repaired by a Repair Bay so they need a spaceyard component to repair them. <<<-----

Thank you!!

That is actually misleading. All that is required is having a space yard in the same sector. Repair bays will repair such components if a SY is present.
