I too am having computer woes... Our "mothership" computer, running Win98 since 1999-2000 (700 MHz) is finally having serious issues.

My wife was doing daily restorations to keep it on life-support while we ported all the important stuff off the sinking ship. "AAAHH!!! SAFE MODE AGAIN!?!?"

Fortunately, a few months ago, we got a bottom-of-the-line Dell. The mothership and the new computer share the keyboard video and mouse (thank you KVM). Have you ever had to get information off the internet to repair your computer when you can't get on the internet?!? Wow, what a difference that resource makes.

Anyway, as a result, been a little spotty on getting online - although I think I have been on time with all my Invasion! turns. Now, I am looking at components to build a new system or order a pre-built system... Hmmm...

Best place to buy new components and stuff is http://www.newegg.com

If you ever need me to push a turn back a day or so for Invasion! just let me know. I am more than happy to accomidate players when they let me know they will be getting the turn in late ahead of time. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Well components for the new system are on the way... hopefully everything will arrive for a possible build over the weekend... But likely next week.

Well, what did you get? Any juicy upgrades we can "awwww!" about? Hopefully you got a goodie or two. Hey when you build it yourself, sometimes you can justify (*somehow*) putting a DVD burner or nice video card. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/smirk.gif
