Hmmmm, how much of an improvement is this over a 9200?

Don't know, but you can get 3dmark2001 and run the tests. look at your score and look at the 9800 score in the link. What CPU do you have?

OK I did some checking and it looks like $700 USD is a fair price for the whole lot. So if anyone here wants it, PM me. I'll leave it here for a week before I put it up elsewhere.

It's a real good system, I'm on it now. I use a SATA stripe set with a pair of Raptors (I'm keeping them). I run XP pro on it, but have also used 64bit XP and an unnamable future OS alpha release. The only reason I'm selling it is because I building a new system with a chiller and wanted to go with a system that didn't need registered ram.

It’s a good setup for someone wanting to move up on a tight budget. FX chips are unlocked, so you can OC it with ease. This particular chip was an engineering sample (picked) Screen Shot (http://groups.msn.com/ThermodynesPlace/athlon64fx51.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=15) . And the video card is not volt modded. It would probably do 30k+ 3DMarks if you did http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/shock.gif You will need at a PSU that puts out at least 450 watts.
