Gents,
When buying units the game crashes no matter it is a campaign or an edited scenario.
Steps.
1. Buy units until you have to scroll the unit pages.
2. Delete one unit.
3. Press previous.
Error is reproducible.
Artur.

If anyone else can follow these steps and reproduce this problem please let us know. I cannot. Every time I try these steps the game works perfectly
Artur, if it's reproducable for you post a save game for us to look at

I can vouch for that bug, exactly as described. Buying your core units; buy more than one page of units. You change your mind on one formation, so you go to the second page and deleted. Hit previous at the bottom of the unit list (on the right), Crash to windows, XP pop up for WinSPMBT crash "we are sorry for the inconvenience" message pups up. It's happened several times (because I forget about it)

I can confirm that one. Only workaround is to play in windowed mode where this bug does not happen. Try it.

It happens when a whole group is half in a page and half in another page and you click on the second half of the group and then click on previous.
For now the solution is to delete an half way group clicking on the first unit of the group. This will prevent any error.

As already mentioned above, playing in "windowed mode" prevents the problem altogether. In "windowed mode" it doesnīt matter which unit you click on to delete it. So the problem might be associated with the fullscreen mode of the game.
However, seems like we have now two possibilities to workaround this until it gets squashed.

Thatīs a pitty. Then it seems like Iīm a lucky bastard http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif, because neither in my beta (full CD) nor in the download-build it does happen in "windowed mode", only in "fullscreen mode" in both builds.
Screen res is 1600x1200, latest Nvidia Forceware on XP-SP2 if that helps Andy to find the problem.

It works perfectly well on my 98 box, and Don's is 98ME.
I'll try it out on my XP rig later.

Hi Artur http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
I also tested what you described and here are my results:
Crash in Fullscreen mode and it runs o.k. in the Windowed mode.

Confirmed as an XP only problem.
Works fine on the W98 rig, crash on the XP test rig.

I tried various combinations of unit buys and ended up with two crashes ( now three... woops.. now four) in WinME running windowed. It does seem to be tied to units straddling pages. It also appears to only happen if you still have the formation you were buying open. The times I have exited back to the main buy menu, then deleted a unit on the last page ( even a "straddler") it does not seem to crash. If anyone can confirm this it may help Andy sort out where the problem is exactly

Ok, after lots of tries I was able to reproduce the error on W2k, windowed mode, too.
But there's a little detail with it that I'm missing with all the previous descriptions:
Sometimes, and I can't pin it down to a special setup of buying/deleting other than having the unit overview open, the "previous" button does not work after I have deleted the last formation on the second or third page. The page is empty, I defintily hit the "previous" 'button', but nothing happend.
If I close the unit overview, the list jumps to the first page.
If I hit "previous" a second time with unit overview open, the game exits.

I have noticed a similar bug, also under XP. Mainly when deleting units from the buy menu, the whole remaining unit list disappears from the menu.
After clicking back from the unit selection menu, in fullscreen mode, the game shuts down, gives a Windows error message (have to check again) and returns to desktop in game resolution.
In windowed mode, the game freezes, after one click outside the game window the whole OS freezes and I'm up for manual reboot...
Give further data when I can collect some.
