One simply cannot watch that without having a big grin on one's face.

Kinda makes me wonder though..... Won't they get into trouble with Paramount? I mean, just about all of the "P-Fleet's" ships have been taken straight out of Star Trek. (No I don't watch Babylon 5. They never broadcast it in this backwards country I live in.) Aren't there copyright issues?

Looks very interesting. I won't bother with the ttrailer, I'll just wait 'til the weekend and download the film.

My Finnish isn't so good, will it have subtitles or dubbing into any other languages? Those Scandinavian types are usually so good with languages...

they release it to download aprox. month later. They first sell it on DVD. I have pre-ordered mine.

So this is a no-kidding Star Trek -vs- B5 spoof movie, eh? The space ship combat scenes were nice, but it looses it pzaz when you marry that up with low budget sets. Funny, though, despite it all.

For starters, you can download the old ones from here (http://www.starwreck.com/oldies/downloads.php#SW1). Bewarned, the first ones are pure amateur job, but it gets better the more you watch.

Ohh, this is great!
The battles where very nice, and to think the studio is one of the crews living room!

Heh, absolutely mad stuff. But as Emperor's Child said, the low-budget sets detract from the loveliness of the space scenes. Although, aside from having Paramount breathing down their necks about copyright infringement, I think they might encounter a bit of difficulty with the Star Wreck name as well, seeing as it's already taken by a series of Star Trek spoof novels.
Not that that sort of thing's ever stopped them crazy Finnish before. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Speaking of spoofs, does any recall the web site for those new TOS Episodes? You know the ones that those guys are making here in the States? Forget the name of the web site, Production value was good, acting was very very bad.

AgentZero. I think you mean Star Wrek. It isn´t same than Star Wreck. You see that c. I think they have asked something from Paramount.

I believe that Paramount is not going to push any case for copyraghts (or any other series which are imitated in the movie) because this is not a threat to them. Just a hobby by bunch of people who will get few thousand bucks for 10 years worth of work. Furthermore, should they push the case, they would face unimaginable campaign on the internet (among many scifi & computer communities) that any result of such act would only make them to look like a greedy, fat company who wants to kill any moviehobby or creativity for sake of "copyrights". The case would be different if for example MGM would lauch a series of such parody movies and distribute them in every theatre over the world.

"It's time to warm up the Twinkler Banks" ???

Did that lose something in the translation or is that part of the joke? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Zaamon

That is part of the joke. There is one translation that I think is wrong. Have some light balls. It should be Eat light balls. But I think that is same.

Didn't download it.

Got the DVD some time ago. The acting wouldn't earn them any roles in a Hollywood movie, but the humour was excellent. Too bad they don't broadcast Bab5 here http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif The only SciFi I'm stuck with is Enterprise and Stargate, both once a week. Dammit.

I have to admit instead of taking Dwarf I would have taken the smartass yet extremely attractive un-named woman that was on the bridge lol I mean come now literally being the last man on earth has to improve your chances slightly lol.

Then again I found humor in that part too especailly when Fukov turns around and goes "Don't worry everything's going to work out" lol

Watched it last night, and I was very impressed. In my opinion, it was a lot better than a lot of high-budget sci-fi movies, especially when it comes to humor.

Strategia_In_Ultima

Oh, yes. The humour was excellent, no doubt about that. "No matter what you might think, the VCR remote control stop button does not harm me, Mr. Dwarf." LOL, almost fell out of my chair laughing! It beat Picard saying "Mr. Data? Shut up." at the beginning of Nemesis.

Now if only this backwards little country would broadcast Bab5 I'd be ecstatic..... well, not really since that would increase my access to sci-fi from Enterprise and Stargate to Enterprise, Stargate and Bab5, which is still kinda VERY DEPRESSING for a sci-fi junkie like me. *sigh* At least we still have the pictures..... *grabs DS9 technical manual and reads it lovingly*

To quote some guy I can't remember who
"If you see a hole.....any hole or tube or barrel don't look into it because a)It'll go off and kill you,
b) something will jump out and kill you
c) something with jump out and go of and kill you or
d) A (censored) from the otherside of the wall will pop out and you don't want to explain that bit of eye damage to a doctor."
