Need something to play against AI. Have Eclipse and Devnull. And TDM. Something that have much more technologies or completly new techtree.

Try the Star Trek Mod 1922, the Borg should keep you busy! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

The Adamant Mod is your heaven, but not good yet for single player as the AI is still not up to par.

Space food empires mod is in beta testing and has a lot to offer.

The Extra Mod

The Eclips Mod

The Dark Nova

And one of my favorites, the Carrier Battles Mod. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif (Not sure about SP AI though.)

ALl of these mods add more technology and game play.

PBW is the place to go if you want to delve into mods... Most of the best SE4 mods have no AI, due in no small part to the extreme horror that modding SE4 AI is...

I tried a single player Carrier Battles game... didn't get very far; the AI is unfinished http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

Actually, the CBmod doesn't exactly EXPAND the tech tree - it actually simplifies it, except for some parts like missiles, which it actually does expand on. But that's just nitpicking http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

Not sure what the extra tech is, but here is the web site for the Extra mod. http://70.69.217.55/exmod/ModInfo.html

As for the Eclips mod, I honestly don't know. You would have to ask Kevin Arisa. I tried to load the web page but the link was dead.

Eclipse Mod focuses in on colony management, research, and tactical combat. Enjoy a wide variety of technologies. Grab a few friends or go solo with a few AIs for company.

This mod expects you to have the complete ImageMod and SoundMod installed prior to use. This may be the final SE4 version of Eclipse.

Remember: Individual planets are much more valuable in Eclipse than in a stock game. Colonization is expensive and time consuming. Dont forget to scrap basic facilities in favor of more effecient ones once a colony is well established. Especially important is the development of your homeworld. Sometimes a smaller planet with your atmosphere is more valuable than a larger planet without. And above all, keep close watch on your empire status screen! Maintenance costs can be devastating to the unaware!

I should point out that the Star Trek Mod is one of the few mods out that has been significantly tested for Single Player games. The AI is good, not great, but good. You can give them several bonuses at game set up. Read the "Before You Play" read me document for more information.

It is one of the few mods that also gives added research bonuses as racial traits to you can really juice up the Ai if you wanted too. Also give them the Warrior Trait with its combat advantages and your in for a good game.

There is an Expanded mod that I just put out that combines TDM with FQM and a few modified files that includ entries for Neo-Standard ships. No major change over stock game play except that you start the game with two extra ships, small fighter, and infantry.

The AI for Dark Nova are quite good. They are basicly TDM AI's that have been tweaked to properly use the extra ship and unit sizes as well as some of the other facilty changes.

A note: The AI for DN do not utilize the cloaking components very well as the cloak/sensor system was radically revamped after the AI were done. There also appears to be an issue with some of the AI races not using Intel properly. Some do, some don't. I haven't had the time to dig through them to find out what's happening there.
