OK, we've talked about everything from politics to Puke and Tesco's Chili, so how about

If you had a choice and could go back in time, or if you just like a particular era, which one would you choose.

I went with Rome. Always wanted to know what Rome and Athens looked like before the wars and sackings and earthquakes.

im a big fan of right now. sure, i like to study about the past and wonder how things unfolded. i like to speculate about what might be.

but everything that has gone before has conspired to create the present moment. and the modern perspective is our platform for imagining the future. and if that wasnt cool enough, the trump is that *now* is all we have really got.

so take some time to enjoy it while we're all here.

How about the late 1990's?
SE4 was available, and there was lots of time to play it back then http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

I said middle ages. Just because. Personally, if it was possible, I'd rather travel into the future about 200 years. Curious to see with what method mankind wiped itself out.

Right after WWII. The world united for a short time and there had to be a great feeling over the fact that everybody realizing they were not alone. The start of some great music too!

I'd choose WWII. Go back in time, asassinate Hitler problem solved...Unless someone less crazy/more competent would take his place and prolong the war. Oops!

O.k. second choice would be whatever time period had the women with the most cleavage! Middle ages? Napoleonic times?

WW II; let it run its course more or less and then take care of the Communists.

LOL, reminds me of my youth. I went to a military prep school in the southern part of the state where there was also a large Amish community. On weekends we’d go to the Amish farm market and goof around. Some of the Amish girls looked kinda cute in the black old time dresses and little hats, especially after being cooped up all week with 500 other guys…………….until they smiled. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/Sick.gif It’s was always about that time that the male side of the family would show up, looking like the offensive line for a pro football team and smelling about like one too. Not to mention, looking upon us as heathen barbarians bent on deflowering their virgin daughters and sisters. Well I guess they were partly correct in their thinking. At any rate, I don’t think dentistry and personal hygiene products are big sellers with them. And they are more or less hold overs from the 1800's. So they tend to let you see what things were like back then.

American War of Independence..... bring along a few M1 tanks and Great Britain'd still rule supreme over North America. Oh, and not to forget; wipe out Japan so you can have a nice country estate.

And of course eliminate France. What's France good for anyways, except wine, baguettes and Alneyan? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Early 70's. Throw a molotov into that garage those 2 computer geeks are working out of, Bill and Paul. What a stupid name for a company. Microfloppy or something like that!

1940s and shot everyone who would ever be anything in the Labour party. Then pass on their only good idea, the NHS, to another party.

The effects of this are incalcuable, but all for the good. No other goverment could have made the endless series of systematic mistakes the Labour party did.
