I'm a member of a Lego Builders club and we've got a demo coming up. I was thinking that I would build an SEIV ship out of Lego. But I'm having difficulty thinking of a ship to build.
Can anyone think of something that might lend itself to a pretty impressive Lego construction.
Here's a sample of my 'work' from about 10 years ago.

I think shrapnel disabled bitmaps for image tags because of their size. PNG works just fine, though.

Nice star destroyer.
I have a couple suggestions for SE IV ships:
Narn - Their ships are also somewhat wedge-shaped, so some of the star destroyer building experience may carry over. The Narn are also known outside the SE IV community.
Tessellate - The polygonal Tessellate ships should be perfect for LEGOs.

Got a specific ship in mind?

Narn dreadnought, Tessellate battleship. It occurred to me, however, that a LEGO modeller would need more to go on than just the ship portraits in the TDM Modpack. I don't know where to find larger images of these ships. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

I personally think the Piundon Heavy Carrier is the most bad-*** looking ship ever. I've always wanted to build one out of Legos, but do not yet have the sufficient stock of gray bricks and specialty pieces to get it done. I figure it would have to be about the same size as your SD there.

Okay so these are the one you've suggested. Interesting. Very interesting. I'm also leaning towards the Terran Battlecruiser. I've still got a while before I start anything so keep the suggestions coming!

Upper left looks coolest, upper right looks neatest to build.

Make a lego model of Sgt Squiddie, the Cue Cappan infantryman:
