Way back in the day, some five years ago, I stumbled upon this web site and went ..... who'ya! http://warp_nine.tripod.com/ Now to find it so many years later still up and running was just amazing.

There seem to be quite a few fragments of the old SEIII community scattered about on forgotten geocities pages... really ought to get them all wikied before they disappear forever...

I have a lot of them archived on SEnet:

I've got a question about old SE3 sites. I vaguely remember, back in the days before I really understood what SE3 was, something called the Virod Empire. Basically some guy wrote up a website, where he roleplayed to the hilt, even introducing himself as a virus colonized host. Wield. But I wish I could find his webpage now. It might even make sense, now that I've had a chance to read some fanfiction and understand the idea.

I was going to get the link from the SE3 sites page on Malfador.com, but it has been totally destroyed... way to ruin a piece of SE history. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

And so you do. Warp_nines site even has an old link to the TCO/UFA site that I ran that was the first to fall victim to the Trek Cannon Cannon Boy club of "Get Atrocities Shut Down."

Thanks.....But there has to be more to it. Sorry I missed that one, he seems like the kind of person that would enjoy posting with me http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif
Sorry to see that you came up on his radar AT. But I guess you get this stuff a lot. You set a standard that is hard for most people to reach, and some of them just won't know how to deal with it.
Did anyone actually see any of MoW's shipsets?

MoW did earn himself one lasting piece of notoriety though: He coined a new phrase. From the Encyclopedia Malfadorica:
Canon Cannon
The Canon Cannon is a mythical weapon of mass-destruction, a technological terror designed to smite those heretics who dare to trangress against the True Knowledge of Holy sci-fi Canon.
Various sci-fi shipsets and mods have been criticised in the past over how "canon" (ie how true to the "official" version of events, technologies, ship designs etc) they are. Someone whose hard work has been subjected to this kind criticism is said to have been shot with the Canon Cannon.
When fired upon ISPs and web-hosting services, the Canon Cannon has been known to destroy entire websites.

That "clicky" does bring back some hard feelings. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/mad.gif I should point out that many of the comments and email led to the redesign of most of my sets. Since then I have only gotten a couple of emails that can be classified as negative.
LOL, in retrospect, I wish I would have saved the emails I used to get from fan boys..... oh my God were some of those just out there!
One of the problem boys turned out to be a former friend of mine. A real jerk that I am happy to say I have not heard from since his incarceration a few years back.
I still get the occational Fan Boy hate mail, but for the most part I have been off their Radar for a good long time now. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif I guess they figured it out, SEIV is not Star Trek so to expect a true Star Trek game is something that cannot be done. OH but we tried though.

You should post them in a humorous database on your web site, for the enjoyment of all!

You mean the one that the ISP was going to shut down?

Sigh... Back in the good ole days. Speaking of which, has anyone heard from Growltigga lately? Or is he hiding under a different name now? I could use some good English wit at the moment.
