So here I am babysitting my 3 year-old niece, and I told her if she gave me 10min of peace to sort out my flights home, I'd let her build her very own space ship. 9min of peace later we set to work and this is what we came up with. The whole design and texturing was done using the tried and true method of 'Point at what you like!' and 'Where does this bit go?' with only a single instance of 'Do you like the way this looks?' to get the bump map on there. Still, pretty decent for a three year-old, no?

I am flattered, but the only shipsets I ever made were for SE3 in MS Paint. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

...It is? *Dubiously* Is there a cure for that?
* I'm trying out humour that's more the type I use regularly in real life. Not to sure how it'll work, since a lot depends on things like tone of voice, facial expressions and even the angle of the head.

Thanks Fyron. It's kinda wierd, my older sister (nieces mother) is a good artist, but she's not so into writing, while my little sister is into writing but not so much art, while I can do both! Middle child, ftw!
Slaps self, hard. Must. Stop. Saying. ftw!
As for a shipset, I might need to buy out the IP rights to this one with a chocolate bar & make a set out of it. Somehow I can't see a 3yr old staying entertained through the creation of an entire shipset. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif
And Narf, drop the *Dubiously* bit and it's spot on! Those who can appreciate wit don't need it, and those who can't will be shot.

Yes, there is definitely potential for a full set there.

Interesting... a fresh perspective.
That'll teach those trekkies not to be so set in their ways.
