Maybe not King kong, but at least Duke Kong. In any case who doesn't appreciate pre-historic giant primate beasts? Apart from creationalists of course.

I have no problem with pre-historic primates, anymore than I have a problem with apes.

In fact I have less of a problem with pre-historic primates, as they don't fling poo at anyone anymore.....

I see no problem with pre-historic giant primate beasts, as long as someone doesn't try to tell me that I 'evolved' from it. Don't go telling me I came from some damn monkey! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

Well, it hasn't been actually proven yet, but in your case the conclusion is obvious. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

If it makes you feel any better we can pretend you skipped a few evolutionary stages and evolved directly from protoplasmic goo.

Well not having met Renegades parents I can't comment if he came from monkeys or not. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif
Did anyone else see that crazy news story about the 'Creation museum'? The one which has dinosaurs in the garden of eden? Being built, where else, deep in the bible belt and entirely genuine. Because, apparently, T-Rex went on the arc and didn't eat anything. Oh no those huge teeth were just to crack nuts open.... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/eek.gif

It is a common mistake to think that evolution suggests that humans evolved from monkeys. This is, however, not what evolution suggests. According to evolution humans and monkeys evolved from a common ancestry, not one from the other.

Which means we both evolved from some monkey-like creature. Some more than others. Still, if I can accept that at one point in my existence I was a microscopic puddle of goo sitting inside the womb, the fact that my great^20ish grandfather might have borne more of a resemblance to an ape than a man doesn't bother me too much.
