At the beginning of this week, I decided to learn c++. Now, in a long, complicated story (Thanks again to Fyron and Tevlik), I tried to get Eclipse working with cygwin/g++ and cdt. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, don't worry. It's not that relevant. Basically, I signed up for the Eclipse newsgroup, dumped the password to a text file in the Eclipse folder, promptly forgot about it, deleted the Eclipse folder (In a re-install), and...

Now, the news server wants a password - The password that got deleted.

Any way to fix this? I have no clue how newsgroups work. I'd also like to access rec.games.roguelike.development.

You'll have to contact the administrators of the news server and tell them what happened. Maybe they'll set a new password for you, or just delete the account and let you re-register.

How would I go about doing that?

Uh, you did sign up with an ISP or with a newsgroup provider if your ISP doesn't provide news themselves? How did you contact them?

Clicked on a link on a website I can't remember. I'll try to find it.

Ah, here: http://eclipse.org/newsgroups/

I don't see a 'contact us', though.

Ah! This is not a general service provider, this is the Eclipse community. It's a dedicated 'special interest' group. First I'd try the webmaster listed at the bottom of the page. webmaster@eclipse.org Then you can try the contact addresses given in the contact page on the main site: http://eclipse.org/org/foundation/contact.php
