Following the latest MS updates for XP, I have noticed that both spy bot, an anti adware/spyware/malware/ program, and Fire Fox, a web browswer, have been having a lot of problems.

These problems were not present until recently, following the latest update from MS for XP.

Any one else having issues?

My system is clean. NO viruses. It could be a conflict with a script in Fire Fox, and MS has posted info about the SpyBot problem on one of their trouble shooting web pages.

I'm clean too and Firefox is fine. I never use IE, so when I update I never update IE. Wouldn't surprise me if MS slipped in some trouble that way.

You know the one thing that I really hate about Microsoft is taht when you want to update windows, you have to use IE, you can't use any other browser, which can be really annoying at times.

There are sites out there that let you perform Windows Update in Firefox via proxy, but you can't use Windows Update proper except in IE...

AT, what sort of error messages are you getting? I've recently been having a good few programs crash with memory "read" errors. I cleared some crap off my system & reinstalled the affected programs, but still get the errors, though now only when I close the program...
