Dear all,
I have received an E-Mail that the TDM-Modpack may contain a virus. The user mailed that McAfee reported a warning message "Malformed Archive" when following www.malfador.com (http://www.malfador.com) -> Mod-Section -> tdm.otaku42.de -> Download of the TDM full version.
I have checked the archive with my virus scanner and came up lacking any signs of a virus. However, I'd like to be absolutely sure that there is no virus.
Can anyone report or deny "virus" problems with the TDM-Modpack?
Thanks in advance for your feedback!

No virus. I have TDM installed and I regularly scan the computer for viruses. I'm using Norton antivirus with up-to-date definitions and it has never detected any viruses.

Could be a false positive of a virus...I know certain files cant be sent via Hotmail even though they are completely virus free because of their virus scanning....

I have never had any trouble with any version of TDM. Could the person have had a corrupted download of some form or another?

A very true statement. As a further example, allow me to submit:

Downloaded and scanned by F-Secure, no malware detected. It's clean.

Perhaps the person's download was slightly corrupted?

Thank you all for your replies! Maybe it was a false positive, maybe the download got corrupted, I don't know. Maybe the person will post here, I sent the link to this thread to him. You all helped me by making sure I was not overlooking anything.

Oooooh that's so annoying. In the (ancient) days before I installed WinRAR and used XP's built-in zip function (bad me), I could never send any zip file created by Microsoft's own sip function. Ah well, it'll all be moot anyway; in three hundred years everybody'll run their minds on Windows anyway, and Microsoft will rule the world, so any criticism is quickly exorcised by your built-in not-so-anti spyware program http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
Ain't I an optimist?
