This has to be one of those cases where law is going to be made. Nissan computers has held the nissan.com and nissan.net domain names since 1994. Now Nissan Motors is suing them and is using their deep pockets to runin Uzi Nissan and his businesses.
They are prohibitting him from making this case public, they are seeking 10,000,000 in damages for trade mark infringement despite the fact that Uzi Nissan has been using his name for business far longer than Nissan Motors has. Remember Nissan motors was commonly known for over two decades as Datsun.
If the court awards, and this is very likely, Nissan.com and Nissan.net to Nissan Motors, a new president will be set whereas large companies can simply sue their way to victory and steal something that they are not entitled too.
