Ok, I've been playing the SEIV Demo for months now and really enjoy it but I would really love to have a full version.
Does anybody know where I can get it without paying $20 or more? Otherwise, I'll save my $20 for SEV and just continue playing the Demo.
Thanks,
Mark

You could search bargain bins and hope...But, most games today are more then $20. Sorry.
In other news, welcome to the forum.

Actually Strategy First is selling SEIV Deluxe for 19.99 right now. I don't know what they charge for shipping though. Strategy First (http://www.strategyfirst.com/en/)
If you have a Gamestop (http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=646582) in your area they are selling the retail box version for 19.99. You can find stores on their website and it will tell you which ones have them in stock.

hopefully this info is not to late
a couple of players - purchasers started a thread on spacempires net about their purchase from strategy first
as such it became apparent to those of us who have never purchased a download that the strategy first online purchase and download once the key arrived the game would only install on that machine
a restriction that is not present on the cd in stores as far as we understand it

On a related note, you don't have to have a membership or anything to write a review at Gamestop. Folks should get on that since it's one of the few stores actually selling the retail game; The Faithful should spread the word. I just wrote one, AT already did, and they say your review should be posted within 24 to 48 hours. Have at it peeps...

Reading this thread, it would appear that http://wiki.spaceempires.net/index.php/FAQ_0.1_%28SEIV%29 is now out of date. Anyone want to correct it?

Apparently they didn't like yours or mine. DA did one after us and it got posted.
@dogscoff: Probably better just to PM the Imperator, yes?

Why? The whole point of the wiki is that anyone and everyone can add/ correct/ delete pages. That's how a wiki works. If only one person was making changes, the task would way be too big for any single human.
Granted, that may not exclude Fyron, but even with his awesome space-borne powers it's not fair to ask him to be the sole editor of the wiki.
