SPOOGY FEDERATION NEWS u can use:
The Spoogy Federation Information Database was updated today. One of the new features to come Online was the Spoogy Starfleet Database, a listing and description of the Spoogy Fleet. Currently, only there is only information for the Valiant Class dreadnought and Nova Class battlecruiser. Look for more ships to come Online every couple of days or so.
The Spoogy Universe Map is 50% complete. No random map here! Each planet - moon - storm - warp point individually placed. That's over 100 systems and 600 planets. Look for it in two weeks or so.
The Spoogy Federation has eclipsed the 500 hit barrier. Thanks for all your support considering I don't really have anything good to download right now.
Captain Spoogy is looking for your feedback, so serve it up. Is there anything you would like to see added? Changed? Post it here or contact me at: spoogyfederation@hotmail.com!

Re: The Spoogy Map
Do you have a decent # of moons around planets? "small planet" moons (like earth's)?
Will it be available for download?

Dudes,
I have got everything.
Systems:
Mix of 80% single, 15% binary, 5% trinary with an average of 5 planets or so. Realistic - asteroid belts, terrestrial planets close, gas giants far. Warp points are well done.
Moons:
Lots o' moons
Nebulae:
Lots o' nebulae - friendly, sensor obscuring, violent and damaging.
Black Holes:
Just one.
Storms:
Lots o' storms - mostly small isolated ones, but some large ones that can be quite fearsome.
Historical background:
The map matches with the historical background of the Spoogy Federation. Each of the major Spoogy races have their home systems and such. Each system is personally named and placed. No random map generating here.
I even have an area of the galaxy where an ancient war (The great Catalyte-Squiz Quijy war) where stellar manipulation left destroyed stars, plasma storms, vast asteroid belts of ruined worlds.
Sounds cool eh?

Very cool.... is it ready for download yet?
P.S. if you only got 1 black-hole... how about making it a nasty one, pulling ships 4 or 5 squares. (or 6 squares, either get out of the black hole system by the end of the turn or die!)

It's about 50% done.
It takes a lot of work! There is over 100 systems and 600 planets! Not to mention hundreds of asteroids and unique storms and such. It should be ready in about 10 days. It will be availible at the website...

Please don't think I was underestimating the work involved.... I played with the ME, and I realize that map making is a megalithic task... especially from scratch. I was just getting anxious for it's release. I look foward to when it's finished, and will try it out as soon as it's uploaded.
Wow, 50% alreday.... you're booking!

Captain Spoogy is planning to introduce the new alphabetical index tomorrow or Saturday depending on how much time he has availible.
The Index will be a listing of all major events/races/ships etc. with links to other pages with expanded information.
I haven't been able to work on the map today, but I'll try to get some done tomorrow.
Also look for the Sabre Class attack cruiser to debut tomorrow as well.
Feedback regarding the Spoogy Federation is welcomed!
