My boss has just said he wants me to learn php while he is away next month. I know lots of people here know about that sort of thing. Does anyone know a website or something where they give online tutorials or instruction in php?. My previous experience was only with html.

The Manual (http://www.php.net/manual/en/).
Really, it's all you need. I learned from that way back in the day (PHP 3).

Yeah, PHP has a really good manual. The only other resource I ever need is the IRC channel on freenode (naturally, #php). Same network the SE channel is on. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Thanks to both of you. It looks like I'll have to start doing homework, going though the manual. Fyron, I PMed you because I was certain you'd know this stuff, the thread was just for everyone else http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

I've been curious about PHP for some time, but for some reason never got around to learning it. Thanks for the link.

http://www.w3schools.com/
Also has pretty good PHP info, as well as info for all sorts of other web technologies. And since it is run by the W3C, standards compliance and cross-browser compatability are a given. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif
