Today at 2:30pm my mother passed away. She was at home and surrounded by her loved ones when she passed.
I will do my best to continue her legacy of kindness, caring and unselfishness for the rest of my long life.
Be well my friends,
Sincerely
David E. Gervais

You also have my condolences. I lost my father over 6 years ago, and unfortunately for me, I was in Florida while he passed away in Oklahoma. I wish I could have been there at the end, so at least take comfort that you were able to see her at the end. God bless.

Sorry for your loss David. These are times that we all face eventually. As we age, we come to realize that death is no stranger than birth. It too is a part of life.

My mother died at the age of 63, so I know a little how you feel, David. Before she died, when things were rough (cancer), she told me she was proud of me. I replied that she was mostly responsible for the way I turned out (single mom till I was 13). I think it made her feel good.
It sounds like your mother was an important part of your life and that the traits of hers you mentioned seem to resemble your personality, too.
Take care... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif
