Everyone should know that all that is just a cover so that the Air Force can make some more room for more Stargate stuff.

Rumor has it, it will be shut down and then updated. (USAF needs more room to store the alien artifacts it has collected to date from its off world operations. The stargate show is funded by the US government and kept on the air as a cover story too keep the real Project, code named "Big Round Ring Thingy" secret. Ask yourself where did all of this new technology come from over the last 10 years. From huge *** cell phones to razors in 10 years. From P75's to 5 Ghzs Cpu's. ITs all alien technology! (Just ask any nut job at any Star Trek Convention.)

Here's some trivia for you: Stargate is the only show that is (and, I think, ever was) officially endorsed by the US Air Force. Also, the past two Air Force Chief's of Staff (??) have appeared on the show (as themselves, I think).
Sounds to me like they're preparing us for a revelation, no? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

Oh, so that's where they get all that new technology from. I thought they were still getting it from studying the Roswell saucer, just like how they reversed engineered things like the laser, integrated circuits, kevlar and so on.

Huh, never knew that Stargate SG-1 was endorsed by the US Air Force. Maybe the airforce will let them use the ACTUAL base for filming?

They can also use the term "Area 51" and still get military support while oter movies/television that have tried to use it have lost military support. Go figure.

Someone should set up an ebay account to sell 'One slightly-used wormhole generator. Nuclear power plant not included.'

I am going to bust your bubble and tell you why the Air Force is closing down the mountian. www.spacedaily.com (http://www.spacedaily.com) Sky Guard article and THAAD. Ballistic weapons are about to become obsolete. And the Air Force is starving for money so they are going to cut back everywhere they can. This is a huge paragdime(sic) shift. Do not be suprised if the United states announces one day that they are getting rid of nuclear weapons.

Couldn't see it.

It would be nice to think that is possible. Where deterent force is no longer necessary in a world where nobody has an army capable of actually invading anyone.
They could make amusement parks out of the old bases and call them "Six Missles" park. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Yeah, would be nice to have a world where defensive technology greatly outweighs offensive technology. Then you could shoot the poor and not be attacked by the police. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
Heh, on a more serious note... I give them a century or two before a major nation invents nanotechnology and accidentally destroys the world.

...destroy humanity or destroy the world?
I always get those bungled in SE. As I reread my hastily typed records of conquest I ask myself: Did my Burning Plasma Nuggets III just destroy the planet Elrondo IV or the people living on it? Oh well...let's just call in a sun destroyer to avoid unnecessary confusion.
Hmm...how many nanobots WOULD it take to nibble the world to
pieces?

One, possibly.

Uhh, WTF, over?
Sky Guard article? THAAD?
I followed that link, saw nothing matching either, did a page search on the word "guard" and got no result...huh?
And, uhh, considering that near the top of the page is an advertisement for "Sea Monkeys Space Shuttle", I'd be a wee bit skeptical about anything there, if I did find it http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
