OK, now intercepting enemy fleets is hard enough but refit/ mothball /scrap has me completely confused.

From what i can see, you can refit multiple vessels in a turn as long as the is an INACTIVE shipyard in the same sector. This appears to work as long as your ships aren't in a fleet. I've managed to refit 10 ships in one sector but then seem only to refit 1 ship in a different sector when i ask for 10 refits there.... ????????
You can only mothball one ship per sector per turn ?
You can only scrap one ship per sector per turn?

This coupled with the fact that there's NO INDICATION of which ships you have flagged for refit / scrap / mothball is infuriating.

Anybody have words of wisdom to shed some light on the subject?

Only that I've noticed the same thing when retrofitting.

"Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?"
"Uh, I think so Brain, but how are we gonna teach a goat to dance with flippers on? "

Ships orders change to scrap, mothball or refit when you give them orders to do so. Just check from ships/units window.

I gave orders to five ships to mothball but only two of them mothballed. I had one planetary spaceyard in the sector. So I guess there is some limits.

i have also noticed that the scrap / mothball / retrofit order needs to be resubmitted after it fails to be carried out, so it does not stay in the order queue.
