I'm currently on a few usenet groups through google. The problem is, I've only got one email and the spammers are finding it. What I'm wondering is what's a good, free e-mail service? Something I can use, then drop if it starts getting flooded?

Thanks.

I've been using Yahoo mail for a number of years and I'm happy with it.

Gmail is awesome. It puts the rest to shame, in my opinion. PM me your email address if you want an invite (you need one to get an account still).

I have many Gmail invites. I love gmail... Most of the spamming is caught by Gmail. I just cannot figure out how to paste text into my messages.

I have both Yahoo and GMail accounts, and never have an ounce of trouble with spammers in either.

mail.lycos.com (formerly eudoramail) does me fine. Recently upgraded to 3gig of space, too.

Does an email invite skip that cell phone thing for gmail?
I cant seem to get past that.

Cell phone thing? I just invited myself from gmail, and I didn't have to deal with anything except saying "yes, I accept." Do you want an invite? (pm me if so, I'll send one momentarily)

In my experience yahoo has good spam filters. They constantly improve it too, so it's a good place to get your 'public' e-mail.

To put yourself in it takes a cellphone. The invite helped. Thanks

I've got plenty of gmail accounts too, any friends want one? Comeon, I have 100 of them...

Thanks, I'll probably pick gmail; it has the most recommendations.
