I was attempting to modify the strategy files for the AI, to add in the interceptor/space superiority and bomber strategies someone posted recently. I added in the new strategies to the race file, and created two types of fighter for the race. But the AI doesn't seem to recognize the strategies in the design_creation files. I've noticed that you can manually add in the strategies and save the empire and then use the new strategies in the design creation file, but this is sort of a pain. I looked over some of your race files and noticed that a few of them have new strategies that seem to work. I was wondering if you guys could give me some advice on how to include new strategies with the AI?

I assume you are using Version 1.35, otherwise you would have to use the .emp method you described b/c previous Versions did not recognize a unique strategies file in the AI race folder. The strategies should be placed in the race's folder and added to their design types. If that is not working perhaps you can post your revised strategy and design file and we can give it a quick look to help you.

This is odd I tried copying and renaming the Piundon strategy file for the Terrans and the game doesn't recognize either of their new strategies for the Terrans. So as an experiment, I tried adding a new strategy to the Piundon. The game didn't recognize the new strategy either. I am using v1.35 so I'm not sure what's going on here. I guess I may have to write Aaron. Thank you for your help though.
