Hi, and thanks all for your support and interest in Dominions 3.

The last week has been very rewarding and we are very happy to hear your comments. The post frequency has passed my ability to follow and thus I hope that you forgive us if we don't answer or read what you post. I havn't read through the forum during this weekend, and I soon realized that there is no way I will find the time to go back and read all unread threads on two pages, many of wich were several pages long. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

So don't feel bad if I don't comment your post in the forum.

Actually, thats what I'm trying to say. I no longer try to keep up, as I have realized I will not be able to. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Whishlists, bugthreads etc will have higher priority, but I won't read everything anymore I guess. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

Interesting map. Took me a while but then I realized it seems to be based on some sort of Earth before the continents split. Is this the world where the Conan stories take place? I'm not that well versed so that's why I am asking.

Hehe, (obviously) I'm just kidding http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif
We* appreciate the hard work you've put into the game, and understand why you can't be nice** and read everything we post http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

*-Actually, I can only speak for myself, but it looks more cool and formal when I write "we"
**-GUILT TRIP! Again, I'm just kidding*** http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif
***-I know its rather obvious, but you can't be too careful on the internet, sometimes a misunderstanding occours because communication is text-only.

Better too much interest than the other way around, so long as it's not "bring the torches and pitchforks" interest.

So...

I just realized that you're one of the guys who made Dominions, eh? (ok, I'm a bit slow, and I am only just now reading the manual)

The game rocks. By extension, you rock.

My wife, on the other hand, now wonders what exactly I am doing at the computer at 4 AM on a weekday... And I have totally disrupted our dogs sleeping patterns.

But the game is terribly excellent and addictive (even though I suck at it).

Thanks, a lot.

Hehehe. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
I had the same problem with my girlfriend actually. She lives with me already, and sometime she found me playing Doms 2. TCP/IP at 3 AM. She was like "@#%$% #%^%$# #$#$!" http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Hehe Dominions is especially evil in this regard because you have such big wait times for the turns of your mates and the turn generating time if you play SP.

So if you do some crap while waiting for the turn to generate this can lead to some "comical" situations if you try to explain that you have to do something while waiting for the turn to generate http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif.

I laughed when I quit a game of GalCiv2 and a little window popped up saying "Quit? A couple more turns couldnt hurt could it?". I thought MAN Im glad that Dominions doesnt have that popup. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Or worse yet, if Dom had one that says "but dont you want to at least check and see if that worked?" which is what really kills me. I start to check, then I make move changes, then I have to finish it and hit turn, then I want to just check it. Dominions is an evil game!

Im glad for hosting times. If it wasnt for that my pets would starve, my family would leave me, and my bladder would explode.

Alas =) Would be interesting to see a battle of wits between the legendary strategist and Qm. (the ah ... other legendary strategist I guess)

Kristoffer, Johan, could you please do me a HUGE favor and look into this thread and post there what you think? I know that you are very busy and do not have time to keep track on all topics in the forum, so I thought I should post it here.

It is a detailed analysis of Yomo - Oni Kings nation and its strategies, with main focus on MP games, together with some small suggestions of mine that I dared to make for your kindly consideration. This is new and quite different nation for the Dominion universe (nation whose idea I really like BTW, great job Illwinter!). So some balance abjustments can be expected in cases such as this, as you said yourselves some time ago IIRC.

So if you'll look at this thread and post your opinion, you would make one Dominion fan very happy... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Here is the link to the thread.

Hi Zen, and thanks!

You're in the game credits you know http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Corwin - I have read through the post (and the comments). I must think if I have anything to add. You have some good points. Arralen's answer was quite good.

Hmm. Well I guess I had better buy the game if I'm in the credits, also it seems you have a new crop of determined balance monkeys coming out of the woodwork. Someone should tell QM to get out here and explain with Arralen.

Hmm, I can proabaly coerce shrapnel into giving you a game http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif You did contribute a lot in the 'pre-beta'. Besides, you're the only one that have ever sent us beer-money http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

QM is occasionally writing here, but I think he is somewhat preoccupied atm. He has been somewhat silent on the beta forum as well.

Also it is quite difficult to keep up with all new posts.

By the way, you still have a login on my server and it was ported over to the new faster server with the password intact.
