My friend and I received our copies of SE V today, and are trying to get the TCP/IP multiplayer to work without success.
We both use D-Link SuperG wireless routers. What ports and such should be open, and are there any other things to try if that doesn't work?

Open a DOS prompt.
Start SE5, make it try to connect to a TCP/IP game.
In the DOS prompt, type "netstat -b -n" and look for connections related to SE5 exe.
Now, you know the ports! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif Of course, the manual might say, but this way is a more general and effective mechanism.

This is something that should be in the manual...or posted on SFI's support forum...
