Richard and I are both watching this too. We like it although we are kind of sad that Invasion wasn't picked up for another season. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

The Nine and Jericho are both great shows.

I will be trying to catch up on Heroes. I only saw the first episode and it looked like it could have some promise.

But none can beat LOST or Battlestar Galactica.

We're watching Jericho as well and I agree with none of them beating Lost or Battlestar.....although for us "24" is right up there with them but it doesn't start until late midseason (like February or March) but at least they have no repeats once it starts.

Some shows look intresting, such as the nine and jericho, However, after what happened last season to Invasion, Surface and threshold, I'll hold off on getting hooked into any new shows (though I do watch smith, only because its on after the unit) untill I can be sure some retard isnt going to cut them and put "The Apprentice:Paris Hilton" or "Survivor:LA Ghetto".

p.s. Definitly looking forward to 24 though

I'm enjoying "Ugly Betty" (I don't think she's ugly, though), the new season of "Everybody Hates Chris," and of course "CSI." And oh yes, how can I forget "Boston Legal," possibly the best written show on television.

The new season of "Numb3rs" is OK, partly for the stories (yes, I am also a nerd and proud of it) and partly for Navi Rawat's heart-stopping beauty.

I like ugly betty too, but it's competeing with earl and the office. I catch the gist during ear's commercials and offices awkward pauses. She's kinda like a manatee, so funny looking she's cute.

I like Heroes. I liked Smith, too, but it has already been cancelled. This week they ran a CSI rerun in its slot.

I couldn't agree more. She needs a more leading role I think http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

In case any one is interested you can watch all seven of the SMITH episodes over on CBS.com This includes four episodes never aired and they are quite good ones.

CBS should have given this show some more time to find an audiance. They cancelled it way too soon.

thanks, I'll check them out.....Well you know how it is, have to make room for some stupid show that half the world will be glued to since all it requires is for them to watch the people on the show make asses of themselves for money and (in some cases) (supposedly) is won by (yeah right, just like the elections right?) people voting. That or make asses of themselves by stabbing each other in the back, turning on each other, being two faced...you get the idea.

Edit: You know the saddest part is is that the guys who made/directed/produced/whatever Smith were the same guys who made 3rd watch on nbc, another show which deserved more then it got.

The only show I'm really into this fall is Heroes. It's kind of like X-Men lite, but it does pull you in. I can't wait to see how the save the cheerleader, and if it's the same cheerleader we all think it is. Good show. I'd like to watch Jericho, but since I go to the library on Wednesdays and use their computer, I usually miss it. If it survives long enough, maybe I'll get the box set.

Although you have to admit, "Save the cheerleader. Save the world." is kinda weak as a tag line. Still, it's a better show than I would have thought & it's definately made it's way onto my viewing list.

Heroes is # 1 new Fall show for me. Hands down, THE BEST.
The first half of the season just concluded and It is better than many good shows whole season. Last 2 episodes only got better than the previous great ones.

I dont buy DVD's of shows,(got a few for gifts but I dont buy em). This one I WILL buy, that good. Dont stop gaming if you haven't seen it yet, Just buy the DVD next fall/winter and have a Great Xmas 2007, no matter how poorly Your Empires have done, hehehe.

P.S. even on the ground for first few episodes Battlestar Galactica is really good too. I round out My SciFic big three with The 2nd season of Doctor who, the new guy is almost as fun as the 1st season's Doctor. And thats saying a lot. Still, 'Heroes' rules them all ... "Are you on the list?"

The UNIT, Jerico, The Nine, Shark, BSG, and Numbers are the only shows I enjoy watching out side of the five brain channels and Fox news.

It may be a while before anyone finds out what happened to "The Nine" inside that bank.

ABC has pulled the critically acclaimed but ratings-challenged series from its schedule effective immediately. A special edition of "20/20" will take its place on Wednesday, Nov. 29, and another newsmagazine, "Primetime," will move into the 10 p.m. Wednesday spot the following week.

The network made the announcement on Saturday, in the midst of a holiday weekend when presumably the TV critics who hailed the show at the start of the season aren't working. Its ratings haven't matched the praise, though: Through last week the show had averaged just 8.6 million viewers, fumbling more than half of the 17.7 million viewers who watched its lead-in, "Lost."

With "Lost" now on hiatus, numbers for "The Nine" tumbled even further this week, finishing a distant third in its timeslot.

"The Nine," which stars Tim Daly, Kim Raver, Chi McBride and Scott Wolf, follows the lives of people who survived a 52-hour hostage standoff resulting from a botched bank robbery. The series' primary focus is on the emotional fallout for the survivors, with flashback sequences filling in the events of the robbery.

ABC says the show will return sometime later this season but is offering no specifics. It joins another ABC freshman show, "Six Degrees," in scheduling limbo. - TvDvdAddict

Now that Deadwood is over and done, the only thing I am looking forward to watching is Season 2 of Rome on HBO. After that finishes I cut cable until Season 3 http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

If you haven't seen Day Break yet it is one damn good series. Not since 24 have I layed wittness to a show that I actually cannot wait to see the next episode too. It is a nail biting thrill ride that keeps you wanting more and more. A semi-brilliant rehased ground hog day plot that just keeps getting better and better as the puzzle of the lead characters day keeps unfolding.

It really is a very good series.

The Unit
Day Break
BSG
Shark
Numbers
Star Trek - TOS - Remakes (Surprising good)
CSI - shows
NCIS
The Nine

are the only shows I seem interested in watching.

I'll be really happy when the networks go the way of the dodo and stations have to compete based on the quality of their shows vs how many people they can put in their seats who would just as much be somewhere else. I'd be more than willing to pay a cable or satellite bill for shows I like and no more nauseating commercials. The fact that you can get bad networks (and all the major networks are bad) for cheap just encourages the status-quo without representing in any way what viewers want, because if we can't find it we can't watch it.
