This is the Keyboard of Emperors...

Every key of the Optimus keyboard is a stand-alone display showing exactly what it is controlling at this very moment.

It's a nice set of concept art, and they've got "patent pending" all over it. But they don't seem to have any for sale.

When wheel-mice were first advertised in magazines, there weren't any. It was a market test: "Do you guys want this?" A valid question, and the answer was a resounding yes. Today nearly everyone has one.

I wish them success in their endeavor, but it looks like we may have to wait for some little company to struggle with a big job.

That's right, I said it: Little guys suck.

Kana: I've been drooling over the Optimus for some time now. It is extremely tremendous.

AngleWyrm: Have faith, haha. Wait for the end of 2006 at least.

MM isn't some grand company, not by a long shot, so not ALL the little guys suck.

Optima is a nice keyboard, but it's not solid steel http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

You just can't break a solid steel keyboard. But on the other hand, the Optima looks like I could customize the hell out of it.

Yeah someday we'll tell our grandkids, "In my day our keyboards came with Pre-printed letters on them. Can you you believe that? Pre-printed!"

And someday they'll tell their kids, "In my day, we used these things called keyboards..." http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
