What AI file would I look in to increase the maximum number of Neutral races allowed for a game?

Right now, the max races per any game is set at 20. The max limit for neutrals is 6. I want to increase the neutrals to 15.

What I am looking to do is simple. I want to play a game with only one empire, and 15 small neutrals.

Any idea of what AI file I would have to look in to find the info I want to change? I have looked in all the ai files, but I confess that I do not know enought about what I am looking at to know what to change.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I believe that the number of random players is a a hardcoded feature. It kind of makes me want to have a little counter that I can specify how many of each kind of empire to be randomly placed in the game.

By the way do have enough neutral race files/folders?

This is something i would definetely like to see implemented in an upcoming patch: the ability to set the exact number of races and neutrals, and being able to have more than 20 per game would be nice too.

It would be a nice feature for the player to decide the max. number of players in a game. Then it would be up to the player to decide how long he wants to wait for his turns to process.

Same thing with the number of systems. There shouls be an option to put how evert many systems into a game as you want.

I dream of thousands of systems with a hundred players.

If I recall, their has been endless discussion on the number of systems that the game will allow. I beleive 255 (or something like that) is the maximum possible limit the game can handle. Not exactly sure why 255, but it has nothing to do with how the code works. Its an internal program mechanism build within the game (when it was created with a high level language compiler). I'm just a novice at programming, only use VB right now, but I'm pretty sure their is no phyical way to go beyond 255 unless MM uses a more powerful programing tool than the one they are using now. Kinda sucks, but I guess everything does have a limit.

Add more Neutrals. The program cannot put any more neutrals into a game than are available to it. If you invent 4 or 5 more neutral races and install them in the proper directories I think you'll find more neutrals will appear. Dunno what the real limit is, though there probably is one.

That would turn a hotseat game into a PBEM-style, one turn every 36 hours kinda game http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif
