Hi all,
Okay, this may sound a bit out of the ordinary. Here goes.
I would like to have the "animation" at the start of SE II. I can start SE II, but the animation speeds past my screen so fast I canīt even record it with a program. I already tried recording it while a slowing program was activated. Unfortunately that didnīt work too. Maybe one of you guys has more luck. Pretty please with bambi-eyes?

Oh man... ages ago I made a program in Delphi which emulated that animation... unfortunately that program also disappeared ages ago http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

Hi all,
Okay, a few days, tweaks and some more tweaks later I've come up with this little animation.
Guess what I'm trying to do...
Mind you, this is going to take a while because of my busy occupation. Sorry. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/fear.gif
You need the XVID 5.something codec to view this animation, you can find it for instance inside the excellent VLC Media Player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/). The animation is a little over 16 MB big.
Comments, suggestions and critique are/is more than welcome.
Edit:
Typo's!

If this is what I think, it's going to be mighty cool!

Thanks Spoo, hold that thought. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
But it is going to take a while...

Recognise this?
Again, this animation uses the XVID codec.
I'm pretty pleased with it, it only required one hour of tinkering and rendering (all together).

Very nice, thats the one from what Star Trek 5000 (theres been so many)? Where they shot that cloaking BoP and foiled an attempt to off the President right? Any predication as to how long it will be till sound is added?

Haha... ST 5000...
Sound won't be added. Not untill the whole animation comes together. I slowly add more and more to the mix. But at this stage I experiment with the different ingredients for the final animation. So these are just a few things I need for the final showdown. I can't and won't give a completion date. Expect updates on a regular basis.
Oh and try to cut down on the enthusiasm, it's killing me... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
