From vehiclesize.txt:

"
Satellite:

Must be refueled by outside means.

Once fuel is exhausted, it goes dormant like a ship."

Ummm, I don't remember ever seeing Satellites acting like that. Is it just a "yet to be implemented" thing, or maybe a "changed it but didn't change documentation" thing?

Most satellites are pressed for space as it is, so requiring supply bays would be tough http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif

But, I think one of the main problems would have been that weapons do not stop firing when you're outta supplies. You lose movement, but sats don't move. Your shields stop regenerating, but SE4 ignores regeneration components of units anyways.

Basically running out of supplies would mean nothing to the sat, as SE4 combat currently works http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif

I noticed in one of my test games that the AI was building bases and satellites with quantum reactors on board. Neither needs them. The specs for both are in the vehicle designs setup by the race creator. So does the new TDM remove these unnecessary and expensive components ?
