BTW, I know that most planets are invisible; it's because I modified the names of the xfiles that are called for in SectorTypes.txt without actually updating the xfiles file http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif Try an oxygen/gas race so you can actually see your homeworld, and try "players have seen all systems" so you can peek at the star in the center system! (If it's not a white dwarf or brown dwarf, it's freakin' HUGE! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif)

Remember Low Tech Mod? Kinda like that - you start with simple technology and the fancy stuff is really expensive.

Arkcon: Well actually, I kinda gave up on the "nation-states" idea, since it's not possible to colonize individual sectors of a multi-sector planet such as a stock sphereworld... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif I guess I could make "planet slice" models and place them in individual sectors, but I'd really rather not... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif
