Only 5 neutral AI opponents?

So is this hard coded into the game currently?

It seems no matter how high I set it in the Settings file, the max is 5.

Ya this is kinda depressing. Not sure if it is hard coded or not, but hopefully one of the more knowlegable guys will post soon.

How many normal AI players are there in the game?

I went into settings and adjusted the computer and neutral player settings but could not get SE5 to use more than 5 neutrals at any one time. I suspect this is hard coded and one of you Beta testers should ask Aaron. If it is hard coded it should be changed to become a modder set feature.

Kwok, I'm currently running two games, one single player game, with 4 regular AIs, and the afore mentioned 5 neutral.

The other is a game I'm playing with a friend. We were wanting a galaxy with neutral AIs between us, but 5 just doesn't work out. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif
