Question is can there be a map with many Tien Chis? So everyone plays as Tien Chi? Or would I have to mod them all? So make Tien Chi 1 Tien Chi 2 Tien Chi 3 or something like that?

You want to have a map/scenario with all 3 era of Tien Chi fight, or a map with several players using the same Tien Chi of the same era ?

The same. More or less everyone being forced to use Tien Chi same era.

I think that you would need to create a mod which duplicates Tien Chi. Actually I recommended awhile ago that it would be a good idea to create mods duplicating all of the nations for just that purpose

I've thought for a while-and my thinking was more for the Total War series-that it would be a fine thing to have a Chinese Warring States period wargame. The addition of magic and mythological units-because this ofcourse is a heavily mytholicized period of time for China-would only add to the potential flavor.

I'm not sure this is what you have in mind, CaoCao, but it's what I was reminded of.

Someone who is capable of modding but having trouble coming up with a topic, would become popular if they would just use the mod copy commands and such to completely duplicate each nation to a new slot. It could then be scripted to put that nation into all of the slots.

I think this would be very popular for people who want to test their strategy for Ulm against someone elses strategy for Ulm.

I think in general it would be a pretty easy mod except perhaps for some special abilities of a nation in question.

More or less what I may want to try but it is not the Warring States Period, but the End of the Han Dynasty sliding into the Three Kingdoms Period.

And seems I was right when I thought I would have to make each of them as a "new" nation.

It would also help to make the nation banners all different colors, or slighly different in shape for each of the different Tien Chi nations.

It might be tricky to make sure which Pretenders are available to which nation. The default pretenders will not be by default available to the modded nations, I believe.
