Okay, here's what I'm thinking the DATA block of a sy_shield* file means:

TYPE shield <- it's a shield, duh
PAR1 1 <- something to do with the rate of regen?
PAR2 500 <- amount of shield regen?
PAR3 1 <- beats me! Only shows up on badass shields, though.

what are these? I can't seem to find real info on this anywhere.

PAR0 = number of hitpoints the shield has
PAR1 = rate of regeneration (hitpoints per 1/100 of a second)
PAR2 = how long it takes to reactivate after being depleted
PAR3 = protect from supernovas if set to 1
