Any word on a possible SEV Map editor? Is anyone working on one? If so, about how soon is it likely to be released?

I seem to remember reading a small interview where Aaron mentioned wanting to make one. Don't think it was actually a priority, though, so I wouldn't expect it for many months still.

I read something in the early stages of SEV that it'd have a more detailed editor than SE4 had, technically a scenario editor.

While probably asking for a bit much, it'd certainly help boost the amount of scenarios that are out there, which I don't think really took off with SE4 that much.

The map files for SEIV are binary files rather than the text files that many parts of the program use. So, producing maps still means using the klunky old map editor. I've been wishing for something that uses text files for maps as well. Because of the difference in file formats this is not a trivial problem.

I myself would settle for a better interface for creating the files we presently use. But, since nobody knows the map file format like Aaron, it might take Aaron to create it. At least it would be an easier job.
