Ok, this may be going out on a limb but......I have been playing this game by Web/Email alot lately, and running into some good opponents. And they are making good use of Stealth ships (cloak and armor). Now has anyone ever 'clicked' on a ship and tried to send it somewhere and it just won't go. In other words the path will just not show up. Well guess what , there is a stealth ship in the way(at a warp point etc.). This has happened with colonizing as well, see a good lookin planet from maps givin by an ally. Now try to colonize with a ship from your side, if there is already a colony there your ship will not leave orbit.

Now are these bugs??(I hope so), the ships should go to the destination and meet whatever is in its way instead of never getting the order cause something is there they don't know about. Makes the 'ancient race' ability a bit more dangerous (see colony planet that looks like homeworld, send ship, ahhh! ship dosn't move, there is a player!)

Or am I just on drugs????? http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon12.gif

"The Empress took your name away," said Chance.
Owen smiled coldly. "It wasn't hers to take. I'm a Deathstalker until I die. And we never forget a slight or an enemy." -Owen Deathstalker.

Sometimes I have also noticed that if you
give an order of colonization form the planet
menu (send colony ship) it seems all Ok (the
colony ships seems to have taken the order)
but sometimes forget it after the end of the turn

bye bye

This has been mentioned in another thread. It allows some rather unfair exploits and I hope MM will code it out in an upcoming patch.

"Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?"
"Uh, I think so, Brain, but balancing a family and a career ... oooh, it's all too much for me. "

Liga, I've also noticed the forgetfullness of colony ships, except mine seems limited to forgeting once they pass through wormholes. I find them sometimes several turns later just sitting on a warp point.

The river styx.
Doesn't seem to happen to any other ships though.

On colony ships stopping after warp, isn't there a default setting that ships stop when they sight the enemy?

I think the setting is for all ships - under Empire Options. It's something like "Clear Orders When..."

Interesting observations Deathstalker.
Couple of other things that irk me with stealth
1. In simultaneous mode you can't uncloak, attack and cloak again. It would be good if cloaking was an order (that was queued like move, attack etc) instead of something that happens straight away. (I just like to induce paranoia)
2. When a ship with stealth armour runs out of supplies it can't cloak anymore even thou I though the armour didn't use supplies.

Cheers,
Askan
