Well galactic realism fell over and dies, and it looks like the players on pvkprop1 have all difted away (No new turns in >month), so I'm thinking of starting a Proportions 3.06 PBW game.
Are there enough committed se4 players left for this, or has se5 drawn them all away?
Or maybe someone could recommend an existing Proportions game on PBW with a slot free for me?

I've been letting my Props 1, 2, and 3 games fizzle because I'm too busy to keep up, a few players left, my main SE4 computer has a severe undiagnosed problem, and you've been the first to complain. From the three games though, we may have enough players left either to continue one or more of those games, or start a new one.

I'm to busy playing my single games (se4 & se5) to play an PBM game.

I polled the players from my existing Proportions Mod PBW games, and it looks like we have about seven interested players for playing the existing games or possibly a new one. However the most interest so far seems to be for games #1 and #2, which each have nine empires in good shape. So we could use some new players joining to fill up the remaining spots.
Let me know if you're interested in joining.
Thanks,

I'll keep up my spots too for #1 and #2 - but #2 only if your Gamillon hordes disband all their military ships. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

I assume this means the Gamillon will be scrapping their combat ships?

The Gamilon deifinition of "disband" might not include scrapping...

Though if we're going to continue #2, it might do to consolidate some empires, and/or have a period of truce.
BTW, I seem to have collected a few more players and am looking at what games we might be able to get (re)assembled.

Ok, here's the status:
* I found 2-3 more people who _may_ be interested in returning or joining now or shortly.
* PvK's Proportions Game #1 is officially back in action, especially once I enter my orders. ;-)
* PvK's Proportions Game #3 is officially on hiatus until enough players show up to fill the slots, which may be tomorrow, may be in several months when Alarik returns, or may be never.
* PvK's Proportions Game #2 I think has the interest of mostly the warriors but not the peaceniks. I have a proposal in mind, which is as follows:
A) My Gamilon empire challenges the rest of the quadrant to defy its claim to martial superiority.
B) We grant everyone a truce. In general, for the forseeable future, until we are again attacked, challenged, or our claimed systems are violated, we will not move to expand our holdings. We may of course end up fighting if we happen to be moving through the same areas, since we will not be signing non-aggression agreements.
C) Everyone interested in continuing play needs to let me know by Saturday.
D) If anyone isn't interested in continuing play and/or doesn't let me know by Satuday, I will process the turns without them if they are late.
E) After Satuday, I will let everyone know which empires are not active.
F) The inactive empires' planets and forces are UP FOR GRABS by the active non-Gamilon players. The Gamilon will not be attacking them, but any active players may claim any or all of their forces or planets as they please. Let me know and I will arrange for them to gift to you. If multiple players ask for the same things, I will hand them out to the players who seem weakest first, to try to balance out what each of the active players has. If a player wants to switch empires or run more than one empire to have more than one racial technology, let me know.
G) If anyone objects to the above idea, or wants to suggest an improvement, please let me know.
Players are wanted for all of these games (the new players haven't chosen all their slots yet) so let me know if anyone is interested in joining these games either from the lurker pool, other games, or whatever.
Thanks,
PvK

I have a player (ok, even more newbie to SE4-PBEM than me http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif ) here who's interested in joining 1+2, but he's out of town atm and will come back Sunday evening (appr.).
Pointed him to this thread and told him to PM/email you, but I don't know if he really did.
Just wanted to let you know http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Hi, PvK
Well, finally arrived home.
I'm the one, of whom Stefan was talking about.
Errr, I think, I'll be fresh-meat for you guys, but i'll do my very best.
I downloaded the probortions 2.5.2.2 - Mod just before a few minutes, and 3.0.5 in a few more.
Neither the mod, nor the SE4 I know very well, so have patience with the stumbling newbee http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

There's a new Proportions game starting up over on PBW2, in case there is anyone around that still plays. There's only a couple of wet behind the ears, never played the mod before newbies in it so far, so it's easy pickings to any grizzled old vets around...
