What is the Mega Evil empire settings?
I spotted a question about this on the official FAQ and my friend told me this is a very annoyinh function. What exactly does this mean? I found the location of the Mega Evil Empire function for the AI in the Settings.txt file. Can I just place the value for AI Mega Evil Empire use to false? This will just disable it presumably, so should I do this?

Once the first person pass a certain value (e.g., 500,000 points), all computer opponents declare war on that person. I usually am not the first one to pass the mark, so it doesn't bother me.
Yes, you can put the value to be false, or set it to a lower/higher number.

You have to pass the value and your score must at least a certain percentage higher than the second place player. Both are adjustable and it can also be turned off.

The AI is weak enough as it is in the basic game. If you disable MegaEvil Empire, you just have the task of beating them up one at a time. I always enjoy it more when I have everyone throwing their fleets at me.

IMHO, a serious drawback of the AI is that AI anger is only triggered when your score is much, much higher than theirs. I think it should also be triggered when your score is significantly lower than theirs. As it is now, we have a touchy-feely kinda AI that rarely breaks a treaty with a tiny empire next door that has great planets but nothing defending them.

I frequently do play Human vs AI games. I always know where I stand with the AI. It's funny when you meet them for the first time and they say "You have defiled us for the Last time!"

Well that's rather easy to change in the politics file:
Break Treaty Anger Modifier For Percent Weaker Player := 50
Break Treaty Anger Modifier For Percent Weaker Player Amount := -100
That should make the AI break almost certainly the treaty with an empire that has less than 50% of it's score. You can do the same for the war declaration:
Declare War Anger Modifier For Percent Weaker Player := 50
Declare War Anger Modifier For Percent Weaker Player Amount := -100
