You are missing, among others:
Haida Gwaii
Trade Confederation
the various Crusade mods
Hoburgs
Machaka, EA (spider cult)
This post should probably get a sticky if it is kept complete.

I know I'm missing lots, I'll get them all up bit by bit. If you know that one works with 3.06 that's certainly useful to know. I'll edit a few more in now.

Haida Gwaii is 3.6 compatible and actually uses some of the new modding commands from that patch http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif Also, it is being balanced towards vanilla.

Or is it still in beta, only available on request ?

Just doing nation mods or others?
I'm liking worthy heroes (1.06? Adds 2 or 3 heroes per race) and Alexanders Healing gods (Dom2 but works fine in 3.06, gives all gods recup). I also like the scales mod from the conceptual balance mod - although while I know a lot like it, not exactly my cup of tea.
Not sure on authors, everything but the healing gods was from this forum.

One more round of beta, I expect a brief round. Then I am going to make 1.0 available. 1.0 Should be the final version unless Illwinter releases some absolutely phenomenal modding commands in a future patch.

I'm just doing nation mods for now, but I'll do misc mods (like the excellent streamers and standards) later.
Amos, am I right to mark all of your mods as 'no' for balanced with vanilla? I'm just going by what people said in the threads and what you yourself said. I still think your mods are excellent and creative for SP (which is what modding's about really).

This looks like a sincere effort to maintain a mod list.
Are you also going to create a categories for non-nation mods?
Such as
Balance mod
Random mod
Play All Nations in one game mod
Since its a good effort Im willing to sticky it. Id have preferred a thread to track everything in this forum. Mods, Maps, Tools.. in order to avoid a screenful of stickies. But I cant really ask someone to tackle that.

Sombre, I'm happy you took this idea up. Good start! Perhaps the authors of the various mods can help you by posting here in a format you request, so you only have to "compile" instead of hunting around!
For example,
Type of Mod: Nation, Balance, Random, Pretenders, Spells, Items/Armor, Other
Name:
Hyperlink to mod post:
Version:
Final:
Author:
Desc:
Doms3 Version:
Balanced for vanilla:
However, things like version numbers might keep you busy just updating. If you just link to the mod's post, the author can post their own version numbers as they update.
I'll act on my words with the following:
Type of Mod: Pretenders
Name: Mytheology
Hyperlink to mod post: http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/threads/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=487466&page=0&view=collap sed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1
Version: 1.4
Final: No (ongoing)
Author: Psientist
Desc: Sixteen new Pretenders including five brand new deities and eleven Pretenders formally available only as Summons. There are a few Super Combatants and some very powerful magic-users. The new Pretenders include: Desire (New - Middle Man), Fallen Angel (Pythium Middle), Grim Reaper (New: Ermor, All Ages), Heliophagus (Abysia Late), King of Banefires (Yomi Early), King of Deeper Earth (Argatha Early), Lord of the Plague Wind (Machaka Middle), Morpheus (New - Arcocephale Late), Pantokrator (New - All), Queen of the Sea (Oceania Early), Queen of Thunder (Caelum Early), Shah of Djinn and Ifreet (custom graphic - Marignon Middle), Tarrasque (New - Maverni Early), Teratos Rex (New - C'Tis Early), Treelord (custom graphic - Pangea Early), Vastness (Ryleh Middle)
Doms3 Version: 3.0
Balanced for vanilla: (not sure)
Also, can we request the forum mods to make this post a "sticky" so it doesn't drift down where it's hard to find?
Gandalf Parker

Yes, I'll add in various misc mods as well as nation mods. I probably won't add every small balance or fix mod, but the larger ones will be in there eventually.
It's not terribly hard for me to keep it up to date with version changes, although it would help if people could point out any errors in the list or remind me to update something.
Two notes
- I'm including 'works with 3.06' rather than 'requires minimum dom3 vers of..' because I have to assume that most people are using 3.06, especially people who are using mods. I understand that 3.06 won't work for people who got their copy a 'certain' way, but there's not much that can be done about that. Most mods will work ok on 3.00 anyway - It's what I was using until recently - but some might not work with 3.06 or whatever the latest version is at any given moment.
- Balanced for vanilla doesn't mean that anyone is /certain/ that's it's balanced, just that it was made with balance in mind or made to be used with vanilla settings. So if you make a new nation and you use your own pricing scheme or do not refer to the prices etc of vanilla dominions nations then that's a 'no', but if you /try/ to balance it to vanilla that's a 'yes', although obviously balance is always a work in progress (even for Illwinter).

I added an extra bit to the list at the start which will make note of mod combinations that work. Hopefully we'll be able to get a few of these sorted out so people can enjoy fairly heavily modded games without worrying that they are all running over each other and causing problems.
I'll add the extra stuff in this thread to the list at a later date. My connection is acting a bit screwy right now.

I'm going to update this today. Compatible with 3.06 is going to be replaced with 3.08 and undoubtedly a whole bunch of ???? for most mods. I'll also add various new bits and pieces, try to make it a bit more accurate etc.
Once that's done, I have to update pretty much all of the mods I've made to work with 3.08, it seems. Doh.
UPDATED. There's still some more to do and I'll do it later. In the meantime, if you think something should be added, put it in this thread in the format I've used. It makes updating this much easier.

After much testing, Beowulf, who is also included as the Epic Hero for Man in the Epic Heroes Mod, has received his final changes. Beowulf now has a Longbow of Avalon, a shield bash ability, and a Thunder kick. The description of his allies, the Geatas Stoneguards was beefed up.
This mod adds an epic hero Beowulf that is present from the start for MA Man. It also slightly twinks the Tower guard,
giving it a bit more protection at the cost of defense, and a morale boost of 1.
He was also given a makemonster command and he makes an entirely new thematic unit that was researched from the book Beowulf itself. The units are real, the nation is real.
Kristopher may even recognize them if he is up on his Nordic history! They are fierce, because that is the way they actually were.
The reason he was given a makemonster ability is so he can do something constructive at a castle. The casting heroes can research, hunt for gems, and forge items, a melee only hero can patrol(how exciting). So I borrowed the idea from Arralen and he summons consistently with Arralen's Black Duke of Ulm in his Black Steel Ulm mod. The difference is Beowulf is the only unit that can summon for Man, so it is not unbalanced.
The troops Beowulf can summon make him more fun, as i think the new units he summons are fun-and quite useful.

Ok, my hard drive is deepfried, so I won't be able to update my mod for some time, so it might as well be added to the mod list, and I'll work on it as soon as I'm able to-which probably won't be for atleast a year or 2, because my computer is so old that I need to buy a whole new one.

However with such a huge quantity of mod nations in particular, I feel like people could do with some kind of guide to which are the best on offer and which might not be worth their time. I think we can all agree that mods vary in quality.
On the other hand, this is a mod list and I believe it should remain objective and factual. I try to keep my own opinions out of it as much as possible.
With all this said, I am going to make a mod review thread, where people can freely express their opinions on various mods and present their favourites. If people don't use this thread, it's a sign that ratings and rankings are not the way to go. If they do, then that's gravy.
I am also going to make a modder profile section in the mod list, introducing some of the people that inhabit this subforum :]

I would appreciate it if you added the Better Independents mod to the "Other" section. It can be easily found through the link in my sig, but having it listed would be nice. Some people obviously liked it and it has seen some use. Now that it also comes in a 3-in-1 package that allows choice of which one to use, it's about as good as it's going to be.

Cool I'll stick it in there now. I just managed to miss it the last couple of times I updated, nothing intentional :]

Thank you for updating the list Sombre. This list makes it easy for me to find the mods when I need to update them.

It'll be even easier when I add the modder profiles, because a list of your nations with links will be right under your name.
I might do your one right now actually, since you are the most prolific modder here.

Added Amos' modder profile to the end of the mod list. I will add more in further updates.
Let me know if this is a useful/desirable feature in the list, or if you have any other suggested additions to the list.
And of course let me know if I've missed listing a mod. I'm sure I've missed a bunch, but it's hard to spot them sometimes.

Please add my spell mods to the list:
self_spells.dm: Adds caster-only versions of Blessing, Body Ethereal, Flight, and Sermon of Courage, so your SC does not miss himself.
tomlos_gem.dm: Makes Legions of Steel fatigue 100 (needs a gem). Makes Touch of Madness fatigue 100 (needs a gem).

I've just updated the list with a bunch of stuff including a modder profile for DrPraetorious, a link to the mod nation playing guides and a new section called "Modding Resources" which I will slowly fill with links to stuff of use to modders.
Let me know if I'm missing anything / you love me.

Organized unit sprites for 3.10 (http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/threads/showthreaded.php?Number=558273)
VERY important for all modders. Please add that. ALL units in the game, BOTH sprites, perfectly handled... just add your own changes.
I also wrote a Gimp tutorial (http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/threads/showthreaded.php?Number=516456) back in April. If you think it'd be useful, feel free to add that.
Also, I love you. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

Beowulf is a mod that gives MA Man a hero to start the game, Beowulf. In this most recent version, some other changes were made to make playing MA Man more enjoyable:
1. Crones-Their Old Age was reduced markedly.
2. A capital only commander, the Sacred Knight of Avalon, was added. Knights of Avalon get a map move of 3 and forest survival, but no commander of Man gets a map move of 3 and forest survival. An oversight?
3. Tower Guard-the description of the tower guard calls them the elite fighting force of man. They are slightly beefed up
but cost more gold and resources as well.
However, since the Tower Guard appears in the pd above 20, the boost to the Tower Guard is a de facto boost to the above 20 pd of Man.

This is an auto-backup tool for Dominions games. You can restore and delete the backups from the tool interface.

Due to the forum change and the character limits per post introduced with it, this thread has become unmanageable in its current form. It will be unstickied and used as a discussion thread for a new Mod list thread. Expect the new thread to be built in the next few days.

Added Xietor's Kingdom of Avalon to the new Mod List in the Replacement Nations section.
If you have made and posted a mod that is not listed in the mod list yet and you want it there, sing out in this thread and I or one of the other moderators will add it there.

Could you please add my Hellgate (http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/showthread.php?t=37922) mod.
Edi

Added, though the description is a little sparse, as I haven't looked at it. :)
It might be a good idea if people who want their mods posted wrote a short blurb about them and gave the full name (as in "Nation, Epithet").

Generally I took the description right out of the .dm file. Sometimes that wasn't practical, but most of the time it worked out ok. It would be helpful if people formatted their mods so they could be pasted straight in though, reducing the work of the list maker.
I'm really happy the mod list was brought onto this forum and is still being used!

Edi - can you remove the link to the 'CBM versions of some nations' in the mod list?
I'd also appreciate it if you could remove all the "NOW AVAILABLE IN CBM FLAVOUR" bits I stuck on some mods. I have abandoned that project and I'll be doing something else instead.
