I'm curious where strategies that I set up in game end up. Or is the best way to create additional strategies in the Strategies Text File.

The in game settings you made stay with the savegame. You can save your empire too.

The default strategies.txt file is part of the mod, and should be updated by the modder to have a strong set of strategies that are tweaked to the features of the mod.

I know that the AI will never utilize the new strategies that I create, I just wanted to make a good Strategies File so I don't have to make them all over again every time I start a new game.

They are easy to create in the game; however, I can never seem to find the file that has those additions so that I can copy and paste them into a Strategy File found in the Data folder.

The ones you make in game, are saved only in the savegame, and maybe your EMP if you save the empire after making the strategies.

Nothing you can copy and paste into the defaults, sorry.

2 down 8 more to go, I guess it is not so bad editting in the text files. Just gotta make sure I don't make any spelling errors or forget to capitalize something.

Any particular reason why my new strategies won't show up even if they are in the Strategy File in the Data folder.

No matter what I do, there are only the 10 main strategies that show ending with Drone Attack.

Am I missing somewhere where I need to input Number of Strategy Types := x or something like for instance:

Number Of Target Type Settings :=33

That's a bug that Aaron needs more reminders about.

IIRC, it dosen't even read the stock strategies file either.

The strategies are controlled by Default_AI_Strategies.txt in the Empires\Default folder - all AIs reference that one and I'm fairly certain is the one display for players.

Well, that would explain why it dosen't read the data\strategies.txt that was working great last patch.
