question about deep terrain

is the fact that a province is marked as being deep mean that it is also water (deep sea), or can there be such things as deep caves, etc.?

So far as I know, there aren't deep caves, only deep seas, unless it is possible to have both sea and cave designation at the same time.

hmmm... an interesting point, may possibly be a bug, but the map editor automatically marks a deep province as sea, but a sea province may also be marked with cave, waste and farm, so a deep sea cave is possible, in the editor atleast. forest, swamp and mountain it will not allow to be combined with sea.
