For a change of pace I have been playing around with my Dom3 gui and decided to share it with you good folks. It is certainly not perfect, but it suited my rather disturbing taste. If nothing else, maybe it will give others with more talent than myself some ideas. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
I will try to post some screens before I call it a night.

I agree. Also not my thing (my son would love it though).
Excellent work.
Maybe I will be motivated to do a druidical/Pangaean one

Nice GUI. I'd like to see a dragon-themed one, perhaps I'll have to do some fiddling on my own...

Hmm, those certainly have the drop-jaw effect well done, but the bug-eyed look seems to be missing something...Let's see...

Wow. Thanks for all of the positive feedback. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
I look forward to seeing alternative guis. I have been playing around with a foresty one, but nothing that I am happy with so far. A dragon themed one would be really cool too. (I look forward to seeing what you guys come up with!)
KO, any chance of a form of #guiframe (from Dom2) making a return in Dom3?

Just out of curiosity, where did those red spikes under the map come from? They were not part of the mapbg image.

I like it - it suits the desperate feel of some nations (such as LA Agartha) as well as the dark feel of others without being too "I got my spiked armor and blue lipstick from the Chaotic Evil mail-order catalog."
I think I'll use it for my LA games.

I won my first MP game on that map, I think it is called AOM ORC.

The spikes are part of the map image. The base map image was created with the Age of Mythology editor and modified in GIMP. Foodstamp is correct. The latest version of AomOrc can be found here:
